Strategic forest industry consulting specializing in fibre modelling, timber supply and economic analysis, business planning and advocacy.
Jim Girvan is the co-developer of the “BC Fibre Model”. The Model was designed in order to provide regional assessments of log and chip availability at a strategic level over a planning horizon of 15 years. The Model incorporates the developer’s knowledge of the industry, including current data on all BC log consuming mills and softwood chip consuming mills. Together with estimates of AAC and harvest, it allows the user to assess log and chip availability over a planning horizon for strategic purposes
